Image:  Step-by-Step Ding Repair Tips To get in the water faster, I've always learned it's easier to get it done by doing it yourself!  Yes, we've all tried it - surf wax and/or duct tape to keep our boards in the water, but we all know that isn't the best fix!  For great results that will last, take these helpful tips I've learned and apply them to fixing your surfboard!  Always remember to use proper ventilation, wear appropriate safety gear and follow the manufacturer's warning labels. Step1) To prepare your surfboard, sand the area you wish to repair using 100 grit sanding paper.  Remove any lose debris. Step 2) To fill the ding, take a tube of Suncure UV Fiberfill and pack it into the area, always use more than less on the area. Fiberfill resin hardens up in minutes and helps speed the drying process! Step 3) Use 100 grit sandpaper and sand away the excess resin.  Shape the area as you sand; if the ding is on the rail, sand parallel with the rail; if the ding is on a flat surface sand with a sanding block. Step 4) To glass the surfboard, take a piece of fiberglass cloth and lay it down flat onto the area, then spread resin onto the fiberglass (I would suggest using Suncure UV Resin for this step, it's in a liquid form and is great for glassing).  Fill and again sand it down so you lightly expose the fiberglass. Step 5) Last step! Take your Suncure UV Resin and coat the area with a thincoat of this resin. Preferably, coat it in the shade and give it a longer drytime.  Wetsand with 320 grit sandpaper to take out the rough areas, then use 1000 grit wetsand to smooth.  For a shiny finish, add a waxing compound for polish.  GOOD LUCK!
